Use Melody in Claude

Editing video with an AI assistant? Give it Melody, and it can find original indie music that's cleared for ads, right in the chat. You hear it, then licence it on Melody from $5. The artists get paid.

Set it up in Claude (about a minute)

    1. In Claude (web or desktop), open Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector, name it "Melody" and paste the link above.
    2. Press Connect. A Melody window opens: enter your email, type the 6-digit code we send you, then press Allow. New to Melody? That's your account made, with $5 credit for your first sync.
    3. Open Melody in your connectors list and set Read-only tools to Always allow, so Claude doesn't ask before every search.
    4. Start a new chat and ask for music the way you'd brief a music supervisor.

    Good to know

    • Claude can search music, check your credit, save tracks to campaigns and start a licence.
    • Listen in chat: results show a Melody player card with 30-second previews (Claude web and desktop).
    • It can't pay or spend from the chat. Licences finish in Melody's Sync Editor, where you add your video.
    • The first search in a chat can take a few seconds while Claude connects.
    • Claude may say Melody isn't a "partner app". That's normal for new connectors.

    Things to try

    Other AI assistants

Melody works with any tool that supports MCP (the open standard for connecting AI assistants to apps). Use the same link everywhere.

Building an AI or video product?

Add Melody to your own app or agent so your users can search and licence original music without leaving your product. Point any MCP client at the link above. Your users sign in with their Melody email, no key needed. Tracks are licensed on Melody, and the artists get paid.
