How do I submit my music to Melody?
Create an account, complete your artist profile, and upload your tracks with metadata like genre, mood and BPM. You need to own both the master and publishing rights. Once uploaded, your tracks are available for brands to licence.
How much do artists earn from sync licensing?
Artists keep 75% of every sync licence fee. Payouts are processed monthly via Stripe Connect, 30 days after the licence is created. There are no upfront costs or fees to submit your music.
Do I need to own the rights to my music?
Yes. You must own both the master rights (the recording) and the publishing rights (the composition). If a publisher or label owns part of your rights, you need their permission before submitting, so brands get genuinely pre-cleared music.
Can I submit music if I have low streaming numbers?
Yes. Streaming numbers do not matter — brands are looking for fresh sounds that have not been overused in other ads, so an undiscovered track can be an advantage.
How do I get paid?
Payouts go through Stripe Connect, which supports bank transfers in 48 countries. Complete the short onboarding to verify your identity and connect your bank account, then payouts run automatically each month.
Is this exclusive licensing?
No. Melody licences non-exclusively, so you keep full ownership and can continue to release, stream and licence your music anywhere else.
