$100 licenceDown From Hell
Poison OakSong about uplifting a friend from unnecessary negative thoughts. From excessive substance use on the weekend. It's about a friend talking them out of the comedown spiral. It has big pop punk guitar riffs and feel “Down From Hell” is about watching someone you care about struggle with their own head - being stuck in a cycle of negative thinking, unhealthy coping mechanisms, self-sabotage and cynicism. It captures the frustration of trying to help someone break out of that cycle and talk them back from that place.

Poison Oak“Newtown Day” is about the highs of being with someone and the lows of having to leave them behind. Set against the backdrop of Sydney’s inner-west, it captures the fun of shared experiences, the pull of falling for someone, and the reality of geographical distance. Blending nostalgia with a sense of hope, it’s about missing someone, holding onto the memories, and looking forward to the next time you’re together. Nostalgic melancholic vibe but also hopeful

$100 licenceSkateboard Kid
Poison Oak“Skateboard Kid” is about reliving your youth for just one night.Taking a break from the 9-5, white picket life of responsibilities. It’s also about reflecting on your youth, smiling about those silly, stupid things you did, as they made you who you are today. Not to look back in regret but in nostalgic happiness. It also reflects that maybe these things you get sold when you’re young, about how you should live your life (good job, buy a house etc. etc.). It’s not all that cracked up to be, what you are sold. Basically, there is no blueprint on how one should live their life! Great song for a scene for someone/something reflecting on thier youth. Melancholic with pop punk rock vibes, also very nostalgic
$100 licenceLaser Love
Poison Oak“Laser love” is about being hit with intense, fleeting love from someone who leaves you emotionally wrecked - and trying to understand why you weren’t enough for them to stay. At a deeper level, it explores being addicted to emotional intensity even when it’s harmful, and the pain of loving someone who is controlling, inconsistent or emotionally unavailable. Big rock riffs riffs with a slight dark vibe.
