Closure

A moody pop/rock anthem ‘Closure’ explores the strength it takes to let go, heal and start over. Inspired by a fractured COVID-era friendship, the track was written as a way for me to process betrayal and the path to forgiveness. The single features rising LGBTQIA+ artist Kaiyah Mercedes, whose haunting vocals add depth and emotional intensity. The track was created with a Sydney-based producer over zoom, whilst I was in Melbourne during lockdown. Then took the song to a local producer in Melbourne to record vocals/mix etc. Closure has received large support from community radio stations across all of Australia since its May release, including radio rotation on 94.9 JOY FM, Australia's only dedicated LGBTQI+ community radio station. ‘Coles Radio’ Australia's largest DAB+ station with over 248,000 listeners, SYN Fm and more with over 200+ radio spins nationally. Numerous radio interviews were held promoting the song as well as live studio acoustic performances with the band and Kaiyah. Great to use for tv shows and film of loss and heartbreak.
